Stop Killing Trees - Start Managing Projects!

Brooke Woodruff

Changes in the management of public institution IT projects have resulted in the creation of many new state and university system procedures and rules. The field of project management and its related frameworks are becoming key assets to achieving project success. However, the need to create and maintain required project documentation may work against a project manager's goal to effectively manage the day to day activities needed to deliver an on-time and within budget project. This presentation explores methods for developing internal project management frameworks which result in reduced paperwork and the recapturing of time needed for daily project activities and issues.
